Hi!
I know it's been a while since I wrote my first/last post, but I wasn't home so I wasn't able to write the second post. Anyway, today I'm back with a super DIY, and I hope you will love it as much as I do!
First of all, I would like to tell you about the story of how I thought this DIY and why; I had a special event and I had bought the whole look except for the shoes. I couldn't find the perfect ones so I bought a pair of simple leather sandals at the last minute. I wanted them to match with the look, and I decided to add them some gold beads, and it turned into a fun and easy DIY!
For this first "Beaded sandals" DIY you will need:
- A pair of sandals (obviously!)
- Invisible thread
- Some gold beads (I used round and elongated beads)
- A little patience and enthusiasm, as always!
So the only thing you have to do is decide which pattern will you follow for the beads (for example I did 3 elongated beads and 1 strip of 3 round beads ), pass them through the thread gradually and roll it around the sandal strip. Make sure to make a strong knot at the beginning and at the end (you don't want to loose the beads while walking!) and to have rolled the thread strong enough so the beads won't move.
And here you have, a pair of unique sandals personalized by you!
Let's move into the second DIY with the same leather sandals! After the event I hadn't used them anymore until a few days ago I tried to make them more wearable for the summer adding a tassel. And this was the result!:
For this "Tassel sandals" DIY you will need:
- Thread to make the tassels (colour of your choice) or 2 pre-made tassels
- These tiny rounded metal pieces (sorry I don't know how they're called... )
- Invisible thread
To make this cute tassel sandals you will need a pair of tassels, of course! So if you can't get a pre-made ones you can follow some of this super easy Pinterest tutorials and make them yourselves, as I did: + + +
Once you've got the tassels pass through the superior hole left in them the tiny metal pieces so you can attach them with some invisible thread to the sandals.
And you're done! You could also add more than one tassel in the same sandal, maybe two different colours; just be inspired by these ones to make your own creation!
Hope you liked my first DIY, I would like to do and post plenty of them!
See you in my next post xx
